Thanks to my sister...

... and her generous gift of more vintage buttons, I was able to finish two more "Love you to the moon and back" boards.  In addition to the gift motivating me to make something, I decided to prepare an entry into the Indiana State Fair Arts.  They have a classification under the category of Button Art:
#39 Button Art at Large.
Not sure what they meant and not planning on calling to confirm - let us both be surprised with one of these as an entry.
There is a man in the moon - vintage POD Post Office Department - brass buttons in the bottom section of each moon

Wrapping up the week...

... with adventure / wanderings.  Visited the Garfield Park in Indianapolis and viewed their amazing

conservatory.  Beautiful, well maintained plants.  I had a bird of paradise plant in my garden in Texas - they have one that is 15' tall !!  History of park is fascinating.  It is the first Indianapolis park and have struggled over the years to stay viable.  The fountains on the grounds are beautiful and in reading up on the park, the fountains have been moved in & out of the park a number of times.
Here are photos of a few things that caught my eye.

She had colorful dreams...

... and dreaming is exactly what I have been doing since the move.  I know, everyone dreams but the last few weeks have been filled with vivid, colorful and strange dreams.  New places, old friends, and unique encounters.
Which leads to the box I created - another instance of using a bit of this & a bit of that.  The feet are a combination of wood bingo markers and checker pieces.  The dangle on the front and small turquoise embellishments are from a necklace that fell apart.  The sun was enhanced with alcohol ink.

Finding supplies...

.. and making my home mine.  This is a sign for the "laundry room" which is more a laundry closet.  Being an old building that is heated and cooled with water there has to be a space to allow pipes to go from floor to floor.  Those pipes are hidden in a closet that is now the home for laundry supplies and iron board (yes, I still occasionally iron).
It is created on a stretched canvas with wallpaper sample background.  The laundry service on left is printed on vellum and the word "is" is cut from the wallpaper.   NORMAL is wooden letters painted & enhanced.
