New year...new projects..

Started on a few projects concurrently - allows time 'tween each for paint, ink, glue to dry as ponder what to add {or delete} from the other

First up is another plastic head - when acquired, it appeared to have been used for acupuncture training.  Not able to remove all the marks so painted and added crackle finish...
It will have a clearly defined right and left hemisphere of the brain - with a few overlaps {love is both sides}.

Next up is mixed media creation on canvas.
The center piece is vintage projector sheet colored with alcohol ink.  Future projects will use the same base material to create butterfly wings...

AND if you are in the Greensboro area, check out the Senior Artisans Unlimited meet up group.
We meet monthly to share latest creations, friendship and upcoming shows / events in the area.

Snow day !!! also means

... play day.  First the beauty of the cold, white stuff - all 10" of it fell Saturday and with the continued cold weather (6 degrees last night) it is here to stay for a few days.  Icy roads Sunday and this morning left me in the home with the beast {who does not appreciate cold stuff up to her chest}...

So I spent time creating digitally - altering photos taken this past fall.  Some have been printed and will be used as greeting cards.
This photo was taken
at Greensboro Arboretum
 and became this .....

 and this became

such fun allowing the
program to rearrange
   the photo...
