Picture book story...

... instead of extended monologue.  Did wander extensively and, honestly, did not realize how much until I began recapping while viewing photos.  From birthday celebration dinner with friends on Monday...parade celebrating the re-opening of Elsewhere... Reidsville / Eden / Kernersville / Danbury Friday...Greensboro Saturday...Jamestown Sunday.  It was a grand week.  The photos tell the story:

Start the month...

...with completion of a project.  This was most definitely a work in progress for quite some time.  It is the merge of a photo from Galveston printed onto citra solv papers and then transferred via matte gel with the paper carefully {as best as possible for me..} removed.  The mdf board was coated with crackle paste and then painted to blend with the colors in the photo.
The photo to left is after applying poly coating.  The second photo is prior to the coating.
Lessons learned - - choose picture first to plan texture.  Really too much added behind photo and had to add additional to top and bottom because the final coating was seeping under the photo.
This will be attempted again for I really enjoyed the process.  The time between steps allows minor things to be created / addressed which keeps by a.d.d. at bay [kinda...].
