Driftwood for gnomes...

... or a fairy garden perhaps.  This is a salvaged tree branch that was waiting for the right embellishments.  A fairy door, a touch of heat emboss to simulate moss on the wood, a bit of wood burning and {of course} steps up the side leading to the tire swing. The sign noting return time has a miniature cuckoo clock that is a pin that I found in a resale shop.  Harvested some moss and waiting for it to acclimate to its new home and then will add plants. This will be  included  in the art show scheduled for April.

Swinging into Spring....

... by turning a tennis racket press into a planter.  I picked up another artists wood mannequin last week and they rarely stand by watching for long.  This one is now swinging along with a few plants.  Not finished - need to fix the hanger somehow...and then glue the glass dishes into place.  Do not plan on gluing the person in place to allow future owner to arrange as they desire.

Speaking of future owner....I will set up at this show with my creations, photographic art, and a few mini gardens.
There will be some amazing local artists there.  Look forward to seeing you !!!!

Only 9 days to spring....

... and the weather is amazing.  In 70's yesterday - perfect for wandering with friend up to West Jefferson, NC.  The little home on the hill was at an elevation of 3100 feet.  Air fresh, breeze blowing.  Beautiful.

Before this adventure did
finish up another box.  Used one of my favorite quotes along with metal findings that was colored using alcohol ink.  The sides have napkins applied along with metal (needed to hold lid in place) with small glass buttons.
And now on to chores....and maybe more creations....
